In 2006, Andrew began working as Artistic Director for International Special Attractions' Cirque Shanghai franchise. Over three years, Andrew split time in China and the US, auditioning acrobatic talent, writing, rehearsing and producing shows.
Productions that Andrew directed include Cirque Shanghai and Cirque Shanghai: Bai Xi at the Pepsi Skyline Stage at Chicago's Navy Pier, and Bai Xi at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City. The productions featured acts that ranged from silks and Spanish web, to trapeze, tightrope and Plate Spinning.
Andrew left Cirque Shanghai to become the Artistic Director of The John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois.
